Road Warrior

I was giddy about getting on the road again and starting our third year after our annual maintenance stop at the Mothership.

So over the past nine days the following has happened to us:

1. Got a chip in the windshield.  No problem, I repaired it so that it won’t crack.
2. The next day we picked up another rock that cracked the windshield.  Oh well.
3. Our after market satellite disk stopped working.  Under warranty so they are sending us a new one.
4. We accidentally left a water bottle by the bed that got caught between the wood end cap on the slide and the wall.  Broke a piece of wood that we will try to fix.
5. We got caught in bad wind for the first time and had to pull over and get a campground nearby.
6. We had to abandon staying at a Harvest Host due to a tree limb hanging over their driveway.  Luckily, Katrina found another nearby campground to park the Busse Bus.
7. We broke our surge protector by throwing it under the bus to connect electrical on the other side of the Busse Bus.

All-in-all mostly minor issues, just things that you have to expect on the road.  I’m still giddy to be traveling and can’t wait to see and experience all of the places that we have planned over the summer.
