For a bit of relaxation after a hectic Disney stay we headed back to the Shell House at Indian Shores on the beach. It was so nice that Laurie and John let us park here and enjoy their house again.
My sister, Janis and her husband, Steve picked us up for dinner and we headed to Aqua Prime Seafood & Steaks. Wonderful meal and great catching up with family! Afterwards we went to the Kooky Coconut for some delicious ice cream. Steve then proceeded to take us to Mahuffer’s – a local dive bar! And when I say “dive”, I mean like abyss dive. They kept their beer cold in coolers! No refrigerators! The place was fun and there were two different people singing – one outside and one inside. We had the one outside sing “Turn The Page”. He wasn’t too bad. Inside was a bit warmer so we headed in for another beer before heading home. Check out some inside pictures:
Thanks Steve, we’ll not soon forget “your” bar!
On another night we went to dinner at the Salt Rock Grill with Kat’s brother, Derek, his wife, Nikki and their children Ronnie and Cole.
Kat and I split a Tomahawk steak because we thought that the boys would enjoy seeing a “Fred Flintstone” meal. The restaurant cut the meat off the bone!!! Lame! Before dinner they were all able to stop by the Shell House and catch a sunset:
We got to catch one of Ronnie’s flag football games:
Ronnie is a stud on the field! After watching the game, Kat and I headed to Caddy’s for dinner:
Nice casual place with halfway decent seafood.
For our final evening there, Laurie had won the bid at a silent auction for an exclusive dining experience at Season’s 52.
It was great meeting more new people and sharing in this wonderful meal! Thanks for inviting us!
As you can read, we did not do a whole lot except relax, got caught up on laundry, and go out for dinner after watching incredible sunsets from the deck of the Shell House:
Such a relaxing place! Thank you Laurie and John for letting us recharge our batteries! We are very blessed to have friends like you.
