Just down the coast from Halifax is a quaint little fishing village with beautifully colored buildings called Lunenburg.
It started to rain so we tucked into a little covered bar outdoor place called “Half Shell” for drinks and appetizers:
I have to say that the oysters were really good – and that’s coming from someone who doesn’t eat oysters! Kat even tried and liked them!
We had a nice dessert too:
Stayed at Little Lake Family Campground. The site was nice, but the campground was next to ugly pond and weedy lake.
We were able to get a nice hike in at the Indian Path Common Hiking Trail after the rain which Bear loved.
For dinner we drove over to Mahone Bay and ate at Mateus Bistro:
Mahone Bay is another quaint town just up the coast. Mateus was wonderful!
The next day we were off to see the Bay of Fundy.
