Kat and I were both exhausted from all the excitement filled days leading up to the wedding and BIG DAY itself.  But, as you now know us, we weren’t done.

Started off Sunday morning with a brunch at Walker Bros. Original Pancake House with some of Kat’s family.

Started to say our goodbyes to those family and friends who were traveling back from whence they came.  The Fluharty’s and the Billings stayed another day, in fact, we obtained tickets for the JLo (Jennifer Lopez) concert in downtown Chicago that evening.  Drove down with Shakes and Flounder and met Lane and Blair at The Madison Bar & Kitchen for dinner.

Nice place!  Good food!  Great friends!

Off to see JLo at the United Center.  We had four excellent tickets and two real poor tickets after a mishap from the booking company – Viagogo.  I would not use again!  Anyway, Flounder and I took the bad seats up in the nose-bleed section which was really good for me as I slept some – yep, that tired!  Everyone else seemed to have enjoyed the concert very much – here’s proof:

Kat and Blair even got a picture with Nappytabs!

During the day on Monday we said goodbye to Shakes & Flounder,

picked up our dogs from Lucky Dog and ran a bunch of errands for ourselves and Ari & Matt.  Met with friends, Kathy and Greg Jaroch at Mickey Finn’s Brewery in Libertyville to watch Ike Riley perform.  Ike is a friend of ours whom we have never seen perform before – so it was special.  Ike’s son played soccer with Keenan during high school.  Check it out!

It was great to finally hear Ike play.  He sounded fantastic!  Another one of his sons was in his band as well.  I highly recommend hearing Ike if you ever get the chance!

Tuesday brought about another day of running errands.  For our last night in the Chicago area we were able to have dinner with our friends Bill Garcia and Debbie Pickus.  we didn’t have a chance to see them prior and it was so nice to catch up with them.  Headed to Bob Chinn’s seafood restaurant in Wheeling, IL.  As good as it always has been.

So, after nearly 2 1/2 weeks of pre-wedding, wedding, and post-wedding adventures we were set to have a few days of relaxation up at friends of ours, Jaroch’s, lake house in Northern Wisconsin.  Couldn’t wait for some R&R.
