Drove up to the Homosassa and Hernando area in West Central Florida to visit new friends, Tim and Cherie Clark that we met at Mardi Gras.
Stayed at the Sandy Oaks RV Park which was nice, but catered to the snow birds. It seems that most RV Parks in Florida cater to them – probably with good reason as it is a steady income for the park.
We went over to the Clark’s house for a drink and so they could show us around their beautiful neighborhood and country club, Terra Vista. Three gorgeous outdoor pools with adjoining clubhouses. The main building had a salon, barber shop, nail salon, and other small businesses that catered to the residents. Absolutely an outstanding country club!
We enjoyed drinks and appetizers at one of them before they took us out to Homosassa where the Homosassa River meets the Gulf of Mexico. Very interesting area driving along the river and seeing all the boat docks and restaurants dotted along the way. It would be a beautiful place to take a boat ride and enjoy all the different areas. We stopped for dinner at Crump’s Landing where a DJ was spinning LPs for Karaoke. Tim and Katrina got up and joined in on the fun:
It was a great fun sharing some time with the Clark’s and enjoying this venue:
Sadly, we had to head back to the Busse Bus and leave this beautiful area. Thank you Tim and Cherie for showing us around your “new-ish” home!
Safe travels until we meet up again!
