Spending the holiday weekend with Darin and Lisa in their home that they purchased last year in Lincoln City, OR. Beautiful area with cool breezes, it’s easy to see why they picked this location to get away the heat of the Florida summer sun. Our dogs really enjoyed playing with another Aussie, Nietzsche. The three of them had a ball every day. The first evening they took us to Kyllo’s for a wonderful dinner.
Wonderful hiking to Otter Rock that we were able to take the dogs:
Nietzsche looks so much like Sydney did as a younger dog.
We drove the coast and stopped to see the whales in the distance. Onward to the Devil’s Punchbowl:
Stopped at a local wine tasting place and had a glass on the deck with this view – Fabulous!
Continued down the coast to Newport to see the sea lions and grab a quick dinner:
The next day we went hiking in the Siuslaw National Forest to see the waterfall across the suspension bridge.
For dinner we went out for Chinese – a cuisine that we hadn’t had in months.
Off to the Oregon vineyards:
Great location and beautiful views while tasting different types of wine.
