Back down the Kenai peninsula but this time on the east side to Seward.  Pulled into the Stoney Creek RV Park and had enough time to go over to the harbor and eat dinner at Ray’s Waterfront restaurant.  Wonderful place right on the harbor:

Enjoyed seeing the boats and watching the sea otter just chillin’.  Guess what I had for dinner?  Yes, you’re right – seafood!  Although the seafood is excellent, I’m getting a bit tired of the fresh salmon and halibut.

After dinner we walked over to the waterfront park and found out that one year the famous dog sled race started here and went to Nome.

938 miles standing on a sled mushing dogs forward.  Originally, the Iditarod was used to transport supplies to the gold rush miners.  I’d like to get a closer look at those dogs.  Still rather travel in the comforts of the Busse Bus!
