The last day of a trip is always difficult to plan.  You kind of just wait around all day until you have to drive someone to the airport.  We took in more sites of Anchorage and went to Earthquake Park to see the devastation left from the 1964 quake.  Although 50+ years later and overgrown (or perhaps we didn’t really know what we should be looking for) you can still see where the land dropped 50+ feet.

Ari’s phone is pointing to the drop in elevation.

We spent the remainder of the time driving around looking for those elusive moose.  Never saw one.

Dropped the kids off at the airport “parting is such sweet sorry” and headed back to the Busse Bus.  On the way home Ari texted us a picture of a stuffed moose inside the airport.  We failed to show Ari a moose in the wild – she’ll have to come back and try again.

The next day Kat and I were driving and traffic was stopped on the frontage road next to us because a moose was holding up traffic.  A big one with horns!  Happened so fast that we didn’t get a photo so we can’t prove that we saw one.  But we DID!
