So we drive the Busse Bus with jeep in tow through Yellowstone marking all the places we need to come back to visit to camp in West Yellowstone just outside the gate.  I chose the West Gate because the North Gate area has three rodeos going on and all the campground are booked solid.

Pulled up to the Wagon Wheel RV Park and unhooked the jeep.  I went in to register and the lady asks me if that is my RV on the street.  I said “yes”, she said “we can only handle RVs up to 24 feet”.  Oops.  Ever play telephone?  Apparently she misunderstood me when I said that the Busse Bus was 43 feet.  We have nowhere to stay over the Fourth of July holiday weekend in one of the most sought after locations in the United States.  Good thing we have cellphones.

Booked an RV Park about 15 miles away in Idaho – at least we can add another state to our growing US map of locations that we have stayed in.  Here’s what it looked like:

Good news is that we could get the laundry done.  They had an open field that the dogs could play in, the problem was the prairie dogs also enjoyed the field.  They would pop out of their holes and Bear couldn’t figure out what was happening.  Ever play “Whack-a-Mole”?  We had a great sunset over the valley:

Fortunately we were able to book a RV Park in town for the next two days to make access into Yellowstone easier.  Especially over the Fourth to celebrate Independence Day in Yellowstone and see a parade and fireworks.
