Happy Flag Day!  Haven’t seen a flag all day up here on the mountain.  Missing Libertyville Days over Father’s Day weekend back home, if I can call a place that you don’t have residency in home.

Been trying to book RV Sites out in July.  Seems like summer and weekends are hard to get.  Will probably have to stay in a Good Sam place again.  Yay!

Note to self:  Book RV Parks way in advance.  Particularly over holiday weekends.  A lot of part timers go then when they have time off of work.

We are still waiting to hear from Fantasy RV Tours if we made the caravan tour up through Alaska for 48 days.  We are first on the waiting list.  Sure hope we get on!  I really don’t want to try to book the sites throughout the second half of July and all of August.  Plus trying to find and book excursions.  Seems much easier to have some experts do all that work for me and just pay them.

Katrina and I just went into Central City last evening.  Update:  Saw lots of flags!

What a quaint little town of 600.  They had 10,000 during the gold rush days.  During the late 1870’s it was the “richest acre” in the world.  The last picture is of the Opera House which is still in use.  The have a number of operas coming throughout the rest of the summer.  However, you get the feeling of a ghost town.  It kinda reminds me of “The Walking Dead” with a lot of the store fronts boarded up.  It has six casino’s and five dispensaries.  Had time to go to one – lost $2.00.  I know, big spender!

This town has a sense of humor:

Central City is hosting the 44th annual Madam Lou Bunch day on Saturday.  We will try to go and enlighten you on this local tradition.
