The Manitou Springs Cliff Dwellings were built in their present location in the 1900’s as a museum, preserve and tourist attraction to represent the actual dwellings found in the Four Corners built by the Anasazi.  I just learned this from google – somewhat disappointing now that I know these were a re-creation.

Nonetheless, here are a couple of pictures (these are actual photos and not re-creations).

If our travels take us through the Four Corners, we will stop and get actual pictures from the ruins.  It is amazing to know that the Cliff Dwellings were built from 1100 – 1300 AD.
